Vince, short for invincible - as I sit here at my computer I realise that I'm sitting up straight, pain free and feeling comfortable and happy...I have just finished a session with Vince.
Vince was recommended to me by a friend when I had a trapped nerve between my neck and shoulder and was about to embark upon the trip of a lifetime. I was seriously considering cancelling it; I'd been on very strong pain relief for weeks and needed to have the full use of both arms for the trip. Then I booked an appointment with Vince.
I've had all kinds of health issues and met so many health professionals over the years. Vince was (and always is) a breath of fresh air. He is one of those positive people who doesn't gloss over the issues, but is absolutely clear about what needs to be done, can be done and is realistic about ongoing situations. We had three weeks before I was due to leave, and he told me that it might not be cured by then, but would certainly be much more comfortable and easier to manage. And, with professional expertise and kind determination, he set about making sure I could make my trip. The treatment wasn’t comfortable, but it was a lot less painful than the trapped nerve and, most importantly, it worked! He also gave me exercises and strategies to use while I was away in case it all reared its ugly head again - which he warned me might happen. Consequently, I was able to travel confidently and mostly pain free. Perfect!
He is so interested in the whole body/mind/emotion connection and incredibly knowledgeable, but is also very personable so our sessions are not just about fixing the problems, which he does with professional panache and expertise, but about making the whole person better. We laugh, sometimes I yelp with pain, but never without warning and explanation about a manoeuvre, and we learn from each other. Meeting Vince has been a life enhancer, being treated by him is equally life enhancing - If you need help, he should definitely be your first port of call. I can't thank Vince enough; and, sorry Vince, I'll be coming to you for ever!
